All Star Services Inc. Deploys Cantaloupe Systems’ Seed Office™ to Improve Productivity
As the Premier Cloud and Mobile Vending Management System Available in the Market Today, Seed Office is the Latest Offering in Cantaloupe Systems’ End-to-End Retail Vending Platform
San Francisco, CA – March 25, 2014 – Cantaloupe Systems, the vending industry’s premier provider of cloud and mobile technologies that deliver an integrated end-to-end vending retail solution, today announced the deployment of Seed Office at All Star Services, Inc. in Port Huron, MI. Seeking an easier-to-use, more modern solution that would improve productivity in the office and in the field, All Star transitioned to Seed Office from a traditional Vending Management System (VMS) provider they had used for many years.
With the move to Seed Office, All Star’s vending drivers now use Seed Mobile™, the easy-to-use driver handheld app for Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad devices, to boost driver efficiency and lower equipment costs. All Star’s finance department now uses Seed Office to count money, track cash accountability, calculate commissions, report on sales and financials, and other back-office tasks. All Star’s service department now uses Seed Office to proactively detect machine problems, to record service calls from customers, and to dispatch work to technicians with Seed Office’s easy, web-based drag-and-drop dispatch interface. All Star’s warehouse department now uses Seed Office to track receiving, manage inventory, and to ensure end-to-end product accountability.
“Moving to Seed Office and putting our business in the cloud with Cantaloupe was a smart decision for us. Cantaloupe’s hosted and mobile-optimized solution allowed us to eliminate many manual steps on the backend and give our staff easier-to-use tools to manage the business,” said Duncan Smith, Vice President of Operations and third generation vending professional. “My favorite feature of Seed Office is the real time inventory updates through the iPhone, as it helps us to more accurately schedule our machines and routes. But, my most memorable moment of the migration occurred when the office staff discovered pictures of the machines showing up in Seed as drivers serviced their machines, made possible by Seed Mobile’s Photo Audit feature.”
“Over the years, we’ve enjoyed a great client relationship with All Star Services. From their rapid rollout of Cantaloupe’s dynamic scheduling, pre-kitting, merchandising, and cashless, and now, their migration to our VMS, All Star has always been on the leading edge of technology. The best part of helping bring clients like All Star onto Seed Office is seeing the staff realize that their IT has just gotten simpler, once they see the pile of old brick style handhelds, cradles, servers, and DEX cables that are stacked up in a corner of the room, never to be used again,” said Allen Lwin, Product Manager for Seed Office.
