December 15th, 2005

Cantaloupe Systems, of Berkeley Calif., has joined the Siemens M2M One team of solution providers. Siemens M2M One is an initiative offering business managers an efficient method of selecting suitable providers to build a complete Machine-to-Machine communications network. With the addition of Cantaloupe Systems, Siemens M2M One now has a system provider with solutions specifically tailored to the vending industry.

Cantaloupe Systems has developed a machine monitoring and data collection platform which enables vending operators to manage its remote assets more efficiently. Wireless devices embedded in vending machines collect information on all aspects of a machine's operation and transmit the data to Cantaloupe's Data Storage Center where it is encrypted and maintained for operator access and analysis. Significant operating efficiencies and breakthrough marketing strategies have resulted from the utilization of the Cantaloupe platform.

"Siemens' concept of providing one-stop shopping for a tailor-made M2M solution is extremely unique,Ó said Anant Agrawal, president of Cantaloupe Systems, in a prepared statement. "The ability to quickly and easily select from the myriad of options, the most appropriate combination of solution providers, is a tremendous business benefit."

"Cantaloupe Systems is another great example of Siemens M2M One working with leading technology providers to deliver customized M2M solutions" said Peter Fowler, vice president of sales for wireless modules at Siemens Communications Inc. "With Cantaloupe, Siemens is able to deliver machine monitoring solutions to the vending industry."
