Vending Operators Granted Access to All Benefits of the Cantaloupe Seed System for $99

SAN FRANCISCO May 25, 2010 ─ Cantaloupe Systems, Inc., the leading provider of wireless, cloud-computing solutions for the vending industry, today announced the Seed Summer Stimulus Program. From June 1st until September 1st, Cantaloupe will charge vending operators $99 per machine to begin using Seed® instead of the traditional $275, enabling operators to deploy more rapidly. Seed monitors and reports all vending machine purchases in real time over the web, allowing vending operators to save money, boost profits, and reduce their carbon footprint.

“We understand vending machine operators have limited capital budgets, and we know that Seed pays for itself within 24 months”, said Anant Agrawal, Cantaloupe’s CMO. “Our special Stimulus pricing allows operators to become fully deployed faster while reducing the payback time to less than 12 months by drawing less from their capital budgets and allowing operators to realize Seed’s numerous benefits almost immediately.”

Under the normal Seed pricing model, “Our $562K investment in Cantaloupe Systems paid for itself in 20 months by reducing our Tulsa routes by a third, from 22 to 14, and increasing revenue per route 72 percent,” said Lance Whorton, Vice President of Imperial Companies, the largest vending, foodservice and coffee provider in Oklahoma and Arkansas. “Not only are we increasing our overall profitability, we’re reducing our carbon footprint and providing better service to our Tulsa-based customers. Cantaloupe’s system is one of the best business investments we’ve made and we’re looking forward to sharing the benefits of it with all our customers in 2010.

About Cantaloupe Systems

San Francisco-based Cantaloupe Systems, Inc. is the fastest- growing, wireless vending solutions provider in the U.S. The company was founded in 2002 by young engineers Mandeep Arora, a second-generation vending professional, and Anant Agrawal to provide automated merchandising for the $30 billion vending industry. Installed in individual vending machines, the Cantaloupe Seed device monitors all transactions and transmits the data securely via cellular networks and the Internet Cloud. The result: vending operators know the state of each machine’s inventory without making a physical visit. Operators using Cantaloupe Seed Solution average $35,000 in annual savings per route, can replenish 80 percent more machines per week, and can reduce their carbon footprint by 40 percent through the elimination of unnecessary truck travel and smaller loads per truck.
